Small businesses are at the heart of our communities. With two local salons Henley and Marlow and employing 16 members of staff across both branches, we want you to meet the family behind the Dorata brand.

Meet the creators, artists, and artisans, Angelo, Simona, and Andrea. ⠀⠀⠀
Angelo trained in Italy and moved to the UK in the early nineties soon followed by Simona and Andrea. After successfully managing a local salon, Angelo decided to open the door of his own place in Henley, and in 2003, "AD" was created.
After following their own path, Andrea and Simona follow suit and became partners four years later, "AD" became Dorata.

Inspirations for starting a business come from many places. The trio vision was to create a homely space where beautiful hair would be created, "elegant, with a bit of an edge", and where clients would feel immediately part of the extended Dorata family .
With each siblings bringing their own set of skills and passion for our industry, it's clear to see the unique family ethos, constant training and education behind the brand philosophy has enabled the clan to create a unique hub of talents .
ANDREA - Salon Director
Andrea is the proud Director of Dorata Marlow and loves the diversity of his job. With over 20 years of experience under his belt, Andrea has embraced every aspect of our industry collecting accolades from l’Oreal colour Trophy finalist 2020, semi-finalist 2019, best in region 2018 to Kerastase Ambassador and his latest crowned winner of the southern region and overall UK runners up at the 2021 prestigious L'Oreal colour trophy award. Andrea is also part of the internationally recognized l'Oreal talent development ID Artist, a rite of passage for great hairdressers.
Andrea has a passion for developing his artistic skills, learning, and educating. A passion that he has clearly passed on to his team who all share his vision of always bettering their skills. Family is at the heart of Dorata 's brand and his greatest achievement to date is working alongside his brother and sister for the last 18 years. A master of balayage with a penchant for "anything bob" it is clear to see that his biggest pleasure will always come from seeing the smile of a happy client.
SYLVIE - Senior art director
& Educational Manager
Sylvie has spent the last 28 years honing her craft both in France and the UK.
She has a vast repertoire of knowledge and qualifications and is clearly addicted to learning anything about hair.

Qualified educator Sylvie has spent many years teaching others. From the artistic team, catwalk, and stage work, she has developed a love for dressing long hair, vintage and bridal work been her strength. â €

DEVON - Art Director
Devon is a bit of a blow dry queen and long hair mistress , with a penchant for textured beachy waves , bouncy blow dry .
One of her favorite hair cut is a blunt swing lob. Honing her skills over the last 9 years Devon bring such a variety of skills and experience to the team.
Devon has such a positive, fun energy and her talent and passion for all things hair knows no bounds. Devon is also a kerastraight specialist .
ANTHONY - Art Director
Art director Antony loves learning new skills, a passion that he happily had shared in his past role as an educator.
With an impressive background of "artistry" built over the last 12 years, color trophy and ID artist Antony is a master at his craft.
His favorite cuts are often short in style with a "penchant" for curls and natural vibes. His love of bright colours includes orange and any shades of copper.
Anthony's strength is his ability to see geometric shape lines on others.
CIARA - Hair Stylist
Up and coming young graduate stylist Ciara is fun, talented, and a huge part of our family.
"I have been working in hairdressing for four amazing years. I LOVE HAIR! My favorite colour is blonde and my go-to hairstyle is Hollywood waves. I love sleek curls and making someone feel glamorous. I would still be in the beauty industry even if I was not in hairdressing, making people feel the best version of themselves is something I thrive for."
KIRSTY - Senior Art Director
As a hair colorist specialist, Kirsty has dedicated her career to perfecting the art of hair coloring, bringing her client's colour dreams to life with precision and flair. Kirsty is always pushing the boundaries of traditional hair coloring techniques to deliver truly unique and personalized results. Whether it's experimenting with vibrant vivids or crafting subtle, sun-kissed highlights, Kirsty's creative vision knows no bounds.
Kirsty is also a firm believer in the importance of customer care. Her client's satisfaction is always at the forefront of her mind, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that each client feels valued, heard, and pampered throughout their salon experience.
TARA IVES - Freelancer
For those who don’t know Tara, her career span over three decades, from Artistic art team, to education and seminar teaching photo shoot, awards, catwalks there is literally nothing Tara hasn't mastered.
Hair maverick and entrepreneur extraordinaire, Tara will be joining our team as a freelance artist. We cannot wait to start working alongside Tara, she brings a vast array of skills and knowledge with her, our little creative hub is definitely buzzing! Fun times ahead!

LEAH - Apprentice
Leah recently started her apprentership with us and we are very proud of how well she is settling in the team.
